Ofori-Atta Buys Kantanka Car

Private legal practitioner Gabby Asare Otchere Darko flaunted the car on his Facebook wall

Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta has acquired a Ghana-made saloon car from Kantanka.

Choose one, the white Toyota or the blue Kantanka. I know the one I like. What about you? Ghana will go places if we only believe in ourselves and support our own.

It is recalled that then-flagbearer of the governing party, Nana Akufo-Addo, visited the kantanka assembling plant on 14 December 2015 and promised to acquire some for his 2016 campaign.

Mr Akufo-Addo, at that time, said: "Earlier today, I test drove a Kantanka Omama pickup and promised to purchase a few for the upcoming campaign. I assured the Management and Staff of Kantanka Automobile Ltd, and by extension all local manufacturing companies that when I win the 2016 election and become President, my government will support local, Ghanaian manufacturing companies.
