Apostle Safo And Oheneba Donate To Weija Leprosarium

As part of the "Help the Needy 2014 Project" which began this year following a collaboration between Apostle Dr Kwadwo Safo (Founder and Leader of Kristo Asafo) and Oheneba Ntim Barima (Director of Oheneba Soul Health and Wellness Centre), cash and other items have been donated to the Weija Leprosarium in the Greater Accra Region.

The project, with Akropong School for the Blind being the first beneficiary is expected ​to provide assistance to the physically challenged and the less privileged in society.

Items presented to the Leprosarium included clothing, bags of rice, cartons of milk, fruits. boxes of key soap and other toiletries. The staff of the Leprosarium also received GH 500 each together with other items. Additionally, each of the 27 inmates of the Leprosarium received GH 100.

Speaking at the ceremony, Oheneba Ntim Barima bemoaned that the ills of society stigmatization against the inmates of the Leprosarium and called on individuals and corporate bodies to extend supporting hands to them as well as other needy institutions in the country.​

The famous public health crusader also lauded the staff of the Leprosarium for their dedicated service to the institution despite ​the huge challenges they face. He further express his optimism about the future of the "Help the Needy" project.

Lawyer Akua Safo who represented Apostle Dr Kwadwo Safo​ and the Kristo Asafo, noted that showing care and compassion of the needy is the ideal way of expressing your love for them. "Love is all about caring and sharing" she added.

Emmanuel Quansah, the head of the Leprosarium, was deeply moved by their action and expressed his profound gratitudeon behalf of the Leprosarium to Apostle DR Kwadwo Safo (Star of Africa) ​and Oheneba Ntim Barima.
